Fields named as "Lower Castle Ground" at ST277156, "Castle Ground" at ST27601555, "Castle Lens" at ST275156, "Castle Lea" at ST27401565 and "Higher Castle Ground" at ST275156 located on tithe map during Blackdown Hills AONB survey. {1}

Presumably named for proximity to Castle Neroche but possibly indicates some associated land or features. Mesolithic flints have been found in the gravel pit in these fields (see PRN 53130). {2}
