Details:

An archaeological watching brief took place on land between 71 and 73 St Thomas Street, Wells, in June 1997. Apart from a demolished boundary wall fronting St Thomas Street, a late post-medieval well and a covered drain, few features were recognised during the excavations. No pottery earlier in date than the 17th century was located. {1}
